The Assemblyof Schwartzistan

The Clerk of the Assembly returns the result of the general election held on 5 October 1964, the thirty-third general election, in which four parties contested sixty-three seats across seven regions of nine members each. Mean turnout across the regions was 73.6 per cent. The Assembly Union and the Continuity Party each returned eighteen members, the Reed Party seventeen, and the Workers' Front ten, no party commanding a majority of the House. Report of the election.

The return records that no region returned members of fewer than four parties, and that the Continuity Party, though narrowly the largest party by mean regional share, was matched seat for seat by the Assembly Union and stood one seat above the Reed Party, which polled the highest mean share of all four parties without translating it into the largest number of members. The Workers' Front, returned in every region, held no region outright and nowhere returned more than two members.

The Capital District and the Osmoor returned the Continuity Party as the leading party in each case with four of the nine seats, the highest number returned to any single party in any region. Norrfeld and Westgau went to the Assembly Union, the former by a clear margin over the Reed Party, the latter by the narrowest of the seven regional contests, three seats each to the Assembly Union and the Continuity Party and two to the Workers' Front. The Ostrand, Kesselhöh and the Sudmark returned the Reed Party as the leading party, though in Kesselhöh the Workers' Front stood within a single point of second place and took two seats to the Continuity Party's two and the Assembly Union's two, the closest four-way division recorded in this return.

Return of the Clerk of the Assembly. Of the sixty-three members returned at this election, all save three sat until the dissolution of 7 October 1969; the seat held by Arno Brenn of Norrfeld was vacated on 2 July 1968, the seat held by Rudolf Moor of the Sudmark on 4 February 1968, and the seat held by Kurt Schasit of Kesselhöh on 18 March 1969, each in advance of the general dissolution. This return stands as recorded on 23 September 2026.
